    Misquote: The Vatican correspondent for Crux, Inés San Martín, wrote that Pope Francis told an audience on January 25th that he – quote - “asked for forgiveness for Catholic persecution of other Christian churches.” Catholic League’s Bill Donohue corrects her: “Pope Francis did not use the word ‘persecution’. He asked for ‘forgiveness for the behavior of Catholics towards Christians.’ Francis added, ‘At the same time, I invite all Catholic brothers and sisters to forgive if they, today or in the past, have been offended by other Christians’.”
    Persecuted Archbishop: In June 2015 Pope Francis forced brave Saint Paul and Minneapolis Archbishop John Nienstedt to retire because of his Catholic stances. The Vatican used bogus accusations of mishandling sexual abuse cases in order to cover this up. On January 10th, Nienstedt began as humble substitute priest in Battle Creek in the diocese of Kalamazoo.
